A shining example.....

of my utter lack of coordination. Yesterday my cousin Amy and I took the kids to the park to take some pictures. We went back to this beautiful area by a creek. Well in order to get to the creek we had to walk down the embankment and it was muddy and a little steep, so I said I was just going to wait up top, when my loving cousin says, "What, you can't make it down that!" And proceeds to say the mud is pretty dry you won't slide, so trusting her, I start down, put one foot down on the muddy area, and Whhhoooossshhhh! I slide down on my ass the rest of the way! So here I am ass caked with mud and what is Amy doing you ask? Laughing her ass off !!! Don't worry I was laughing too, and if it would have been her, I also would have laughed, hell it was pretty funny. After we got a picture of the "damage", I went into the creek to wash off my ass, as Amy took a picture of that too! And no I will not post those pictures....don't even ask......

Even with the unfortunate accident, we still got some really good pictures, and a great memory so it was nice!

What's the L stand for???

Well I was visting with one of my best friends, Laurie the other night and we were checking out my blog, and I noticed I haven't talked of her much on here, which is weird since she has been my bestest friend since the days of big hair and tight rolled jeans (oh what were we thinking). So it's been going on about 13 years or so now. I was thinking about a story, it happened about 10 years ago. Laurie had a gold necklace with an "L" charm on it, hence her name.....anyway we were out and about one day and a dude I had know before came up and was talking to us. He was trying to "mack" on Laurie and asked her "what the L stood for", she was like "Laurie", then he said, "mmmm, Lovely Laurie"......and to this day we joke and call her lovely Laurie...It's funny how little things happen and years later you still remember and laugh about it. Laurie and I have shared many a memory together. Mostly good, some bad, all memorable. I love being able to talk to her about anything, we are so close, we know all of each others family, and I even spend holidays with her family some years. Never once I have felt like I was invading or didn't belong because we are that close. Oh, great now this is turning into a sappy post....not my intention, but if she reads this I want her to know how special she is to me! So my Lolo, aka Lovely Laurie, I love ya!!!

Weeekend Rundown

It seems like I watched movies all weekend. Friday we had girls night at my sister's apartment, we drank a little, played cards, ate pizza and then watched "Diary of a Mad Black Women". It was hillarious. Saturday Gigi and I laid around in my bed all day and watched Dirty Dancing... And yes Gigi and I are both straight 20-something ladies and we regularly lay is bed a watch TV on lazy days. We are strange I guess. Sunday after Gigi and Cfiz got back from bingo(at which by the way, someone won the $12,000 powerball dammit) we watched Guess Who. It was good but not as funny as I thought it would be. Then of course I watched the series finale of Six Feet Under. It was very good. I was glad they tied up all the lose ends of the show. So much was going on I was wondering how they were going to bring everything to a close. They did an excellent job! Anyone else watch SFU?

Embarrassing Moments

I recently read a blog post somewhere talking about Most Embarrassing Moments. I thought it would be cool for us all to tell of our most embarrassing moments. This is rather hard for me. See, my life IS one big embarrassing moment! Stupid stuff happens to me ALL. THE. TIME. So I will think of a few off the top of my head real quick:

* The time I went bowling and dropped the ball behind me......
* One time in PE class a few of the "gymnastic" girls were doing cartwheels off the balance beam and I thought I could too, so I tried and sprain my ankle, got wheeled out of the gym and down the school hallway to the nurses office.....
* I have fallen almost everywhere, it is really starting to not even be embarrassing anymore, but one night late night/early morning after a night of drinking I was walking across the street from one friends house to the other when a cop drove by with his lights off, I turn ans say some stupid smart ass drunk comment about "ha, we see you tryin' to creap down the road", right about the time I tripped into a pothole and fell flat on my face....in a mud puddle! Yeah, not good.
* I have yelled "BINGO" in a crowed bingo hall when actually I was on the last game and in fact, did NOT have bingo.
* I have ripped the seat of my pants jumping a fence to get a volleyball while playing volleyball in the back yard of a friends house.
* I have accidentally pressed the panic alarm button at my job to signal the police not once, but twice, this year.
I know there are LOTS more, that have just slipped my mind right now, if you know me and remember some, feel free to post them, as well as your own, in the comments section. So come on everybody and lets here some good ones!

Six Feet Under

I am oh so sad, this Sunday will be the LAST new episode EVER! NOT. FAIR. I really love, and I mean looovveee that show. And I don't get to interested in many tv show, except ER. Which is also going into it's last session! Man, now what am I going watch?

Dumb Ass Move Of The Day.....

So I have this horrible head cold, allergy thing going on right now so that crazy feeling you have in your head when your sick is the excuse I am using today for my dumb ass move......I wake up and put some chicken breasts in the crock pot to cook while everyone is working. Then I decide to lay down for another hour b/c I really feel like shit. I get up, check the chicken, and it doesn't seem to have cooked much. I turn it down to low and get ready to leave for work, I decided to check it one more time and give it a stir. It had now been cooking, so I thought, for 2 hours and it didn't look like it had cooked at all. I turn it back up to high, and then I see it, THE PLUG! Just sitting there on the counter, not in the outlet where it should be. So after all that I plug it in and Viola, amazingly it works! Go figure.

Pure excitement

'Member when you were a kid and your parents told you that you were going to Disneyland, Six Flags, the waterpark, or a yard sale.....yeah. Well I my son loves yard sales. When we drive through town on the weekends and he see one he begs for us to stop. Anyway, I told him we were going to this huge all-town yard sale Saturday and asked if he wanted to go, to which he replied "heck yeah"! So that was the end of the coversation I thought as we were going to sleep, but 10 mins. later I hear "Mom?"
"What Ant?"
"I can't sleep, I am too excited about the yard sale."

I just laughed and said well try not to think about it. It was so funny. My son, so excited about a yard sale!

is a bitch! I am having it all today! I am tired, sad, mad, crabby, all of it. I just feel so depressed not my usual happy go lucky self. Man, I hope this is over in a few days. So I'm pissed, that is all.

Float Trip Run-down...

Just a quick run down of the highlights of the trip....

• Sun Burnt! I have never been burnt on my legs before, until now
• Only flipped the canoe TWICE, although I did fall out of the canoe once on my own without it flipping just got in on one side and slide right out the other.....
• Beer Bong 'nuff said
• Bruises bruises bruies, I look like I have been beat!
• One of our campers now owns a smashed johnny on the spot! Seems if your car runs off the road and you run over a johnny on the spot you buy it! Hmm, who knew. Luckily no one was inside and no one was injured in the accident. People were walking down from there campsites with cameras just to take pictures. It was a site to see, a Blazer on top of the Johnny, you don't see THAT everyday!

I did have a great time, and will definately do it again, although I will NOT do a 10 mile float again. I will do the 5 mile. We started at 9am and didn't get to the end until 6pm. We did stop alot though to swim and stuff. We took waterproof cameras so as soon as I get them deveoped I will be sure to post the pictures!!
