Bloging Blahs.....

I haven't been posting very often for a few reasons. My life is so dull and I don't have too much to talk about. But I do want to talk about a few friends of mine, who make fun of me daily about my "blog". Chrissy and Gloria! Whenever we are out and something happens or they make one of their sick little "oh I think I'm so funny comments", one will say, "Oh you better watch out she's gonna put that in her blog"...ha ha ha. That is why I seldomn give them the satisfaction of being mentioned in my blog. I think they talk about it just so I will publish their names......anywho, they also have a problem with the amount of pictures I take. We went to Grant's Farm with the kids a few weeks ago and I was taking pictures of the animals and such with the kids and they were laughing and making their little smart ass remarks everytime we walked past something new, "like oh, you better get a picture of that, put it on your blog"......so they think I'm a dork. So what! Everytime I mention something in comversation, they come back with, where did you hear that on the internet?!! It's a little running joke they have.....yeah, they think they are funny. It's not my fault they are technically challanged.

In other news, I decided not to take the job I was offered. It just isn't a good time to take any type of pay cut, and it's not good time for me to switch jobs, so I'm still at my same employer. I am still seeing the date guy, things are going ok. I really enjoy hanging out with him, we laugh alot and have fun so that is good.

So that is about it, nothing new going on in my life......

They just keep getting better......

My attempts at keeping myself upright while walking that is......Over the weekend I was invited to a 20th anniversary party for the parents of some friends of mine. We had a good time, drinking beer and laughing.....Especially at Laurie who couldn't find her cell phone anywhere so goes to look in the only other place she had been, the bathroom, and yep there it was just sitting IN the toilet.....not good. So they start to clean up and I offer to help and carry out some of the food. So here I am with a pan of chicken on top of a pan of pasta walking across a concrete floor in flip flops when I hit a wet spot and my feet slide out from under me, I go flying face first to the ground, landing boob first into the pasta.....So I get up with white sauce on my boobs, and pants soaked from what I think was beer leaking from a garbage bag sitting next to the door. I was smelly, wet, and cold, and it was not good......I had invited the "new man" to join me but he had something else to do and couldn't make it, thank gawd he didn't see that! Although I did tell him about it, and he had a good laugh, but he doesn't have the picture of what I looked like after that!

Other weekend highlights:

Me, Chrissy, Gloria, and the kids went to Grant's Farm....we had a good time and I took some good pictures, I will post those when I get them.....

Me, Nina, Chrissy and Gloria went to bingo Sunday, none of us won so it was a big waste of money.....one day I will win the big jackpot!! I was so close this week......

Hung out with the "new man" last night......and today I'm back at work......

I can't make a decision to save my life!

Well a while back I talked about the law firm I was wanting to work at but I would have had to take a $4,000 a year paycut which when you only make $25,000 a year is a big deal. Anyway, I got an email from them today saying there was an opening in their downtown office and it pays $2000 a year more.....and would I be interested. So, I start figuring stuff up.....In the end after benefit cost differences and so on, I would be losing about $68 per check and my monthly bonus that I currently get which average out to about $100 a month, sometimes $200. But I would no longer have to work until 7 or 9pm anymore, I could get my son into a sport or boy scouts both of which he wants to join, but they always seem to have practice or meet on Tuesday or Thursday both of which I work late! So that would be good. Plus I wouldn't have to worry about having someone to watch my son after his daycare closes until I get off work those nights. But I have been doing alot of extra work and training at my job lately so I should get a good raise in January, but that is not a guarentee, depending on how the company is doing and such so.......here I am back at the start, I DON'T KNOW.......

Idiot!

Well I had a post all typed out and went searching for a picture of what I was talking about and BAM, I lost the damn post. So here we go again....

Another story about my gracefullness. I went to the gas station to pour my life savings into my tank, I was pulling up to the pump and noticed I wasn't going to make it in there without taking out a large concrete pole anyway so I start to back up and THEN I turn to watch as I back up and slam on the brakes as I see this guy walking behind my car. So he stops lets me back up and goes into the store. I was still pumping gas when he came out so we started chatting. He asked if I would like to go out later and I said sure, we exchanged numbers, yada yada yada...At least it is a funny story when people ask "So how did you guys meet?" and I respond with "I almost ran him over at the gas station"....smoooottthhh!..Anyway later we meet up and go here ........

He then says, "hey lets walk thru the water", yes, sounds nice and romantic and all that, but I'm thinking "oh my, I just KNOW I am going to slip and fall on my ass". I politely say no, let just walk up here....but he talked me into walking thru the water with "don't worry I will hold you hand, I won't let you fall".....oh, my hero. So we walk and it was sweet and fun, and I DID NOT fall! Score. So we go back to his SUV and those things are pretty high off the ground so not being experienced in climibing in big cars, I put my foot of the rail, and lean my head in first like climbing a ladder or something, and BAM! Hit my head on the handle they put to help you get in! Yeah, first date, first injury....so I am making a great first impression, he was sweet and asked if I was alright and explained the right way to get in, and I said, go ahead, you can laugh and we both started laughing. It was pretty funny. After that we sat on the riverfront watching the river and the boats. We talked for a long time and he is a pretty cool guy. I had a good time. Fortunately, I have not made a fool of myself anymore since, lets keep our fingers crossed......
